I
decide to write journal about Meghan. She is 37 days old today. The
last 37 days are the most fascinating days in my life, and they have
changed my life and my perspective in life in a greater way.
I
have to start writing about Meghan. Time flies. Ever since Meghan was
born, she always has something new to surprise us. If I did not keep
up with her, I am afraid that we would lose the precious
memory of those fascinating discoveries
we
made about her everyday, which have brought us so much joy.
I
need to write down those moments being with Meghan, because I cherish
them so much. I can’t believe how much love I feel for her. When
I’m breastfeeding her, or when I’m holding her delicate body,
touching her tender skin or just smelling her, my heart overflows.

stories will be written in Chinese. Since this web site is built for
Meghan, I really hope she is able to read it when she grows up. That was
the reason why I wrote in English in the first place for fear that she may
not be able to read Chinese in the future. Yet, on the other hand, I do
very much want her to be able to speak, read and write her mother tongue,
and I plan to make every effort to teach her. Thanks to Gao Yan, one of my
former university fellows, who suggested me to write the stories in
Chinese, because he believes, a series of stories about her written in
Chinese, which awaits her to read so as to discover her interesting
infanthood or to refresh the memories of her childhood, would be the
greatest incentive for Meghan to learn Chinese. This makes a lot of sense
to me, and so was the decision made. Sorry for those who can not read
Chinese. I would understand if this could not be a motivation for you to
learn Chinese. Haha....
